After a wild fight that saw shifters and vampires joining together to battle under an eclipse, things in Hawthorne Hollow are relatively quiet. Scout’s newly-found sister is locked in a cell, her grandfather is laying low, and the enemy appears to be regrouping.
That allows Scout and her boyfriend Gunner to make a trip to her childhood home. Upon their return, a shifter attacks and throws their world into a tailspin. He’s easily dispatched but appears to be suffering from a magical infection that has his body wasting and his mind collapsing.
It’s up to Spell’s Angels to figure out what’s going on, and because nothing is ever easy for Scout, the investigation is going to be harder than she imagined.
It seems there’s a new top vampire in town, and his powers are extensive for a creature who wasn’t born into his legacy. On top of that, he’s crossed paths with Scout before and knows exactly how to push her buttons.
Scout is a fighter but the world is closing in on her. She’s going to need her new co-workers and the family she doesn’t know to help her out on this one … and even then nothing is a given.
The road before her is winding but answers are finally here. Scout will finally know what she is. Whether she survives long enough to benefit from the knowledge is completely up in the air.

Scout and Gunner are getting answers
Another great story and characters from Amanda M Lee. This book has everything I expect - adventure, mystery, family, friends, and romance. Scout is getting answers about her past and her powers, and even to questions she didn’t know she had! She has the family she’s made and those around her are there to help her along her journey. There is more adventure to come and answers to find - looking forward to the next chapter!
Love This Series !
Scout is finally looking into her family to find out what she truly is. She finds out more at the old farm. Her sister is still a pain. there is alot in this book . Scout and Gunner have there cute bickering . His dad has claimed Merlin his first grandson . There is the deaths to solve also. This is one of great ones of the series, and I can't wait til the next one .
Excellent addition to this series
Scout is getting her answers to who she is and finding out what happened to Evan. I so enjoy Graham and snarky come backs. He is turning into a fun guy That likes to torture mostly Gunner and now Scout. I can't wait until the next book, curious to see where they land next.

Scout has her hands full. The vampires and shifters want to get rid of her. She’s not going anywhere. She has a lot to remember and only a short time to get it. The fact that her partner has returned is show stopper but she will get where and who she needs to be, we all hope.

Love this series, cannot wait til the spells angels meet the Winchesters. It would be great if all the main characters in the books fought one big war together. All the snark an romances would be fun. This series is great with the snark mouthy people.

Ms. Lee has yet again followed the path of the series, and this time has definitely incorporated more of Spells Angels into the story. This one doesn’t have as many laughs but the trade off was more answers. Most assuredly worth the read!

Awesome read, Scout has to find her memories of she wants to save her crew nd the pics from a super powerful vampire and the twists and turns are entertaining loved it,great read
Great story
Scout is really coming into her own and owning her heritage as she learns more about it . and her powers. Evans is not as much or as powerful as he thought he was compared to Scout.
End of a chapter
Slow to start,too much unnecessary side stories - but once back onto the main characters its was incredible. . Another piece of a rather strange and wonderful puzzle.
